Good Morning!

I just realized I have nothing on my mind to write about.

Or maybe I'm just lazy because it IS Sunday?
Might it be that it's been almost 4 years since I don't use English on a daily basis? Frankly, I don't use english anymore (unless watching old TV series in English with spanish subtitles qualifies as language practice...)
I used to say I was getting rusty... Not anymore!! I AM rusty (with my English, that is)

Anyway, let me share this: I love my family!!!

And I'm not talking about the automatic statement that most people will utter when prompted about their family. I mean the true and everlasting filling of incredible satisfaction one feels when accompanied by some people.

I have a perfect wife, and 4 perfect children. And I love them. And they love me back.
I have no regrets. Previous situations (and yes, some were mistakes) allowed me to reach this point: Today. I love my family the way it is Today.

And that good folks, is more than enough reason to state, unequivocally, this is a GOOD MORNING.

Enjoy your Sunday!! I know I will!!

Afternoon hunger

Tired of watching absolutely nothing on TV, I decided that I was hungry for something sweet, but nutritious.

I will share with you a very special afternoon snack that I dare you to try. It really gets you pumped up!

Use a large cereal bowl...

Use your favorite cereal. This time I used some left over fruit loops from my kids -super K works better-. Serve at will.
Pour a healthy dose of MIXED NUTS. And please don't be cheap, use the premium kind with no peanuts. Use at least half a cup!
Sprinkle on some California raisins. a couple of those little snack boxes will do. Top of with 8 ounces of liquid yogurt of any kind. Indulge...

To wash it down, I prefer a very cold MANGO juice with lots of ice.

hmmm... I finished mine while writing this... Delicious!

Starting... again....

Hello world!

Tell me about it! Yep... I did not post anything for more than TWO years....
It hasn't felt that long though, honest! The old adage of TIME FLIES is certainly true. At least it does seem true to me. Still just 42, a young pup, huh?

I am still in my longest sabbatical yet. However, this time I am enjoying myself too much! Dangerous! I could really become a BUM for life....

Well, I am already tired of typing. I'll get back to reading an old book a friend insisted on lending me: "OPERACION LOBO ARTICO". Old book, good story. It has been a long time since I read a novel in Spanish. Translation is good but too evident, unfortunately.

Take care world...

Getting started...

Hello world!

I am back in the blog universe. This is just a quick note to try the new google features.... So far, it looks and feel exactly the same as the old blogger... We'll see.
I am about to be the new hit single in town... I don't know is that is good or bad. But it is what it is.
Hopefully no more procrastination. However, I will keep writing some other day.
:D
Cheers!

TAMU

Howdy!

My sister is working on the upcoming Aggies meeting in Central America. I should go to the meetings, but I have been VERY lazy lately...

Anyway, I think I was always kind of out of the whole aggie tradition, although I will attend the summit. Not that I didn't enjoy TAMU. On the contrary, I did....but never became that involved in the University affairs.

Gig 'em aggs!

A day at the track

I am very happy. I went with my three sons to the motocross track at Los Planes a couple of days ago. They were super happy. So was I.
This is not the first time we go there, but it is the first time we take one bike for each of them. That's right! I finally bited the bullet and purchased a third bike for them. A used (but in great shape) Honda XR100.
Three dirt bikes + three boys = Lots of fun.
We had a great time. I let them ride until darkness was creeping upon us. They were so excited. My oldest son even jumped a very BIG one on the main jump. I think it was not intentionally though. All the same, I captured it with my never-away-from-my-pocket slim casio camera.

After the track, we went to eat to one of the famous "pupuserías de los planes". Great pupusas! They ate two big ones each. Delicious. Where else can you eat and take a piss right there in the same spot? Thought so.

I looked at them and was very happy and fulfilled. I know they were. Mostly I am happy because I know that day created a memory on all of us that will never be erased and will even get better as time goes by.

I love my sons.

Xmas

Today was a good day. Almost. My three sons were very happy with their toys. However, I know I give them too much stuff and somehow I keep making the same mistake every year! At the end of the day, instead of being only greatful, they were insisting on getting something more. Even if it was only pizza, or "cohetes", they kept asking. They are definetely spoiled. I need to do something about it...
I think new rules for the new year might be a place to start. How about defining the number of presents they can get at every holiday or birthday? How many would you suggest? Or..
What if they only get ONE present from Santa? I used to get only one and never complaint!

On a different topic, I bought a honda XR100 enduro bike for my oldest son. Nice!

ehh.. It is still the same topic. Well, I guess love blinds you.... again, and again.

Happy Christmas !
